So, I've been slacking a bit the past couple weeks. Our week at Higgins was lots of fun, but the weather was not so great. Mostly rainy everyday and it cleared up the last 2 days. The kids started to get a little bored indoors, but great overall great fun nonetheless. Josh arrived home safely from the sailing trip with lots of stories...and facial hair :) I was pretty busy this past week getting back into the swing of things especially with my triathlon training. In addition i decided to run another 10k this morning. I've decided i like that distance, but probably nothing more. I don't enjoy running that much. Here are a few more pictures of the kids at Higgins Lake.

Jack wanted so badly to put my swim cap on, but i couldn't get him to look at me for a picture. He looked pretty funny.

moms and kids!

Josh and my Dad are both gone this week on a church sailing trip so my mom and Holly and I are spending the week up at Higgins Lake with the kids. So far the weather has not been great, but its still so nice to be away from "Real" life back home. Here's a few pics of our week so far with kids.
Jack and Hailey are great buddies!

Grandpa Buzz is always looking at something through the binoculars on the lake. It's no surprise he has the kids doing it too.

Eleanor loves her pacifier upside down. She has a crazy mind of her own!

Pool Adventures

This past weekend up north Ellie had her first pool adventure. It was a hot and steamy day and she loved playing in the little pool with her big brother. Recently all she wants is to be doing what Jack is doing and playing with his toys. I'm constantly hearing No Ellie, No Ellie! Sometimes he even combines "No" with her name and just yells "Nor, Nor, Nor" Don't get me wrong, Jack is the sweetest big brother Icould have hoped for!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Last week I celebrated my 28th birthday. I can't believe how fast time goes by. It seems like just yesterday I was graduating high school and now here I am with a family of my own...a husband who loves me and two adorable children. I am grateful, God has given me so much. It's hard to see to far into the future, but my one of my current goals for this next year is to finish my first triathlon. I am in the middle of training now and my race is at the end of the summer. After having two kids I felt like I needed to step up my activity level (not that 2 kids doesn't keep me active enough). It has been a blast so far and I hope this is just the beginning of a more fit and active lifestyle :)
