We have grown quite fond of our good friends the Blackmore's this year and were excited to be able to share some time with them at the lake earlier in June. The kids have so much fun together and it even gave the adults a bit of a break to have all four weasels entertaining themselves. I think the hardest part was having the three older ones all sleep in the same room. As much as I wanted (and did) scold these little ones to stop talking and go to bed, there was something so sweet that brought back fond memories of my childhood to hear them whisper and giggle to their hearts content.

Like Brother...
I was in the sun room this morning taking some pictures for my other blog and Jack picked something up off the floor and wanted me to take a picture of it. I don't even know what it was, maybe a pine needle but you could barely even see it. I snapped a few pictures and then of course Ellie wanted to do the same thing. Ellie has quite the mind of her own and usually it's Jack that is following her lead but like any younger sibling she wants to do what the older one is doing. I was surprised at how well the pictures captured their expressions and personality.
Darling
Yesterday we had lunch at the park after church with Josh's parents to celebrate my 29th birthday (today :) My cousin Kate had given me a darling outfit for Eleanor when she was born, thinking Ellie might wear it her first summer. It's size 12-18m and I put it on her for the first time yesterday. Well she's not growing fast, but she sure is cute. I LOVE the ruffle on the pants. Thanks Kate!

Memorial Weekend Fun
Just another weekend at the lake, plus all the extra work of opening up for the summer. We had a great time and enjoyed being with family. Saturday was all about getting the work done (dock in, boats and seadoos in, yard work, trampoline up, etc...). All the kids basically lived on the trampoline and I have a feeling it will be like that all summer. I really don't mind because my responsibility then is to just sit and supervise...maybe reading a book at the same time :)
Eleanor and Paige playing Ring Around the Rosie on the tramp. The smiles and giggles were so classic!
